True Love
My grandmother always told me “you only find true love once in your lifetime”. She explained to me what the meaning of True Love was. This is what she said.
True love is when you now in your heart you could never live without a particular person but that the person should also feel the same way about you. She said this what you call your soul mate. Match made in heaven.
The problem with our generation is that we don’t know what love is. Many just throw the word love out there without understanding the affects it may have on the other person. The other problem we have is we don’t take the time to get to know the person before we say we love them and then are broken hearted when they leave us.
Sometimes we fool ourselves into believing it is true love when we find a person who is overwhelmingly in love with us. For fear we won’t find someone to love us in that fashion, we settle. This is a false love and will create problems for you in the future. People who do this tend to end up unhappy, miserable and/or divorced.
If you and your partner can picture yourselves in a boat by yourselves with nobody or nothing else around; and know in your heart “Okay, I could look at, spend time with, deal with this person and love this person for the rest of my life. This is the person I would love to wake up next to every morning for the rest of my life. This is the person I want to have children with and grow old with.” If this is what you can say, than this is a start to the road to true love.

I totally agree with you. A soul mate is not only there for love but some may feel it is true fate as well. Very well written.
