True Love is Unconditional
If you love someone and want that person to know that you do in the highest form, you need to love them unconditionally.
When we care for some one with all our being and heart we love them without conditions and that is therefore Unconditional. The purest form of love there is.
You have to wonder why we don’t love everyone in our lives that way. What makes us put conditions on how we love one another? You don’t have to go far before you see many real life examples in your own life and in that of others in your life.
People have it in their minds and depending on our upbringing, what kinds of conditions we put on others and also how we feel and think about material things. For a simple example we can take your mother and her next door neighbor. Let’s say the neighbor just bought a brand new car and your mother becomes jealous of the neighbor.
You ask yourself why she shouldn’t be happy for her neighbor but the truth is your mother wants that new car and feels less than fulfilled because her car may not be as nice. When you look at things from afar, you can see them for what they really are and not what someones opinions personally are.
Jealously of another is what ruins relationships of any kind because they are NOT real feelings but thoughts of what we may feel should be ours and that is NOT right. If something is not yours you don’t have a right to be jealous of it. The healthier approach is too be most gracious for whatever possessions you do own and happy for others who may have something which may be worth more material wise but you have to always remember there will be some who have more than us and some who have less than we do.
One of the biggest destroyers of personal relationships is when a person is jealous of another person and that is truly a shame but it comes down to human nature and again wanting what we can not or do not have. You know that they always say ‘The grass is greener on the other side’ but you also heard ‘Be careful what you wish for because it might come true.’
People are NOT things and should never be treated as such and no one can own another person anyway.
Even a parent does not own their kids though they are their true custodians and they take care of them as best they can. When your children get to adult age they may decide to go out on their own but parents don’t get jealous of their children and they should want the best of everything for them.
It would be a much better world if people could learn to love with no boundaries and never let another person make them feel jealous. It is a learning experience for many but it could certainly hold more relationships and of course marriages together and that is real Unconditional Love.
When you watch young children, sometimes you are reminded what unconditional love truly is.
