Underlying Communication

For most, people don’t pay attention to what or how they say things when speaking to the opposite sex, this is a very big error when it comes to marriage since communication is the most important thing that keeps marriages flying in a straight line. Communication is the heart of marriage and the secret to this is scribed within these words. Men and Women have totally different needs when it comes to communication, men require an underlying message of “I honor and respect you.”

This means that when a woman is talking to a man about anything if it’s put in such a way that it fails to meet the honor message then it will cause frustration, anger, and conflict. A woman on the other hand needs a deep feeling of security, they need to know that you are there for them, that you will sacrifice for them and keep them your top priority if they don’t receive this they will meet with the same end as the man. Now the way it is encoded in what we say is through body language, tone of voice, attitude, and all around manner in which it is spoken.

So when your saying something to your wife, girlfriend, husband, or boyfriend keep in mind the way your communicating to them and when there is a conflict try to analyze the sequence of events words, body language, and tone. You just might be able to understand why your fighting and realize that it was over something as simple as miscommunication. Learn to listen with more than your ears and you’re relationship will turn out just fine. Good luck.
