What Effect Does The Absence of One Partner Have on Marriage?

Marriages are on the brink of breaking up daily , all due to one form of question or the other! Many of us, these days are going about with long drawn faces and finding ways to seek out redress or solutions to problems of our marriage.

Marriage itself is honorable as the Holy book tells us, and both are meant to stay together till one of them passes to the other side of the divide, but what happens when both are still alive and are divided by distance and barriers? Then it becomes a great upheaval to overcome. The notion here is that marriage is meant to be enjoyed not endured by any of the partners. When both parties came together, they agreed to share everything in common, I mean everything, but along the line you find some of the couples asking questions that will otherwise not come up in the first place.

In the Garden of Eden where we have the perfect first picture of marriage, one fact still remains very glaring, and anyone can argue it to till kingdom come. Eve was not tempted by the devil till Adam left her presence, in other words temptation comes easily when one or the other partner is not around. In today’s world we often find married couples leaving one city in search of greener pastures in another city without the other partner following, that marriage is heading for the rocks, if issues are not properly addressed. Can one imagine a wife leaving home in pursuit of greener pastures in the form of a college degree, or been transferred to another city to work ad leave there without the other partner? Ha, the devil is been given the chance to come in and do his work, which is to kill and destroy. A lot of broken home have most often blamed the devil for there own faults and lapses, whereas they opened the door for the devil to come in and operate.

Man by now is supposed to have opened his senses to the fact the devil only comes in when he see a loophole often times created by our carelessness and insensitive attitude to events and happenings around us

The institution of marriage is sharing and when one party decides not to share that which has been ordained to be shared by only the one chosen for that person it becomes a big burden. You can not share your wife or husband with another person. I hear of wife/husband swapping and I ask myself what these people really mean, no offense to those concerned, but the point here is that your wife/husband can not be swapped for sex alone, know sir, not in a million years will that ever happen, that is just an antic of the devil to make your marriage nothing in the site of people, don’t forget that it was the absence of Adam that caused the loophole the devil had of gaining entry into the peace that was otherwise in the garden of Eden
