What Makes a Man Sexy?

What makes a man sexy is going to differ greatly depending on whom you ask. The opinion of a 20 year old will be much different than that of a 40 year old. Let’s look at the differences in criteria.

At 20 it’s all about looks and money. There is probably more emphasis on looks. Not that I am knocking it, I was 20 once. Although I cannot speak for all women in their Twenties, I think the majority would agree on the following: Publicly he is to be the “Yin” to her “Yang.” The better looking, freshest dressing man will win. In private, for most women in their 20’s, physical features still rate high. A sexy man would have a great body, great hair, charisma, sexual prowess and a killer smile. A man could have less stability than the American dollar and still be sexy if he has these qualities. Again, this is a loose generalization based on memory as well as what I have observed are the preferences of my own daughters.

After age 40 or so, what makes a man sexy is far different. While some women still do consider the looks of a man important, for most it is much farther down on the scale. Women at this age are looking for more than physical features. Although all women are different, I can only list the qualities that I and many of my friends consider sexy. Stability is much more important now. We appreciate the dedication that goes along with 10 or 20 years on the same job.

Humor would have to be toward the top of the scale. Most of us have lived enough life that we realize the value of a good sense of humor.

Playfulness is considered very sexy in men. Sex isn’t the most important thing in the world anymore, but it still counts!

Honesty and Sincerity are sexy… Women over 40 don’t want or need the games.

Regardless of age, I believe a man who is comfortable with himself is very sexy. No two women will be looking for the exact same qualities in a man. A man, who is sure of himself, knows who he is and what he wants is probably the sexiest thing in the world. Women don’t want to sort through who you appear to be and who you are. Be yourself, now that’s sexy!
