What Separates The Men From The Boys?

Boys vs. Men: Now heres the big thing about guys! Maturity is so important in finding a good mate. Hardly any high school romances turn into life long deals, so we’ll skip that. Lets start at college. When you picture a college male what do you see? Athletic T-shirt, tennis shoes, sagging shorts, beer in hand, screaming obscenities? Well, not all college students fit that bill, but many do. Let them be a little boy, and someone can have them when they grow up!
Now I try to blame a lot on the town I live in, because its a college town. Even people that graduate and get jobs here continue to be sucked into the college lifestyle of drinking, partying, and not growing up. So many guys in their late 20s and 30s think that they are still a 22 year-old frat boy. Its not attractive! There are even 40 year-old men Ive met who would like to think they are still in their 20s. They sleep around, they play little mind games, the list goes on and on.
Anytime I say to a guy, I dont like boys.
They say, Well good, cause Im a man.
And I say, Thats what every boy says.
The guys that are the most immature will tell you how much of a man they are. The real men dont need to convince you.
A Real Man: Isnt afraid to be romantic. Even in front of his guy friends. He looks you in the eye and tells you that youre beautiful. He doesnt get jealous when theres no reason to. He has ambition. He wants to do something with his life, and hes doing something, right now, to get there. If hes working at McDonalds to save money to do something else to eventually reach a goal, then he has ambition. He doesnt take anger out on you. He doesnt have any bad addictions. A man cant love you when he loves something else more. Whether it be drugs, sex, or whatever. You’ll know a real man when you see one. And hopefully it wont take too long to realize that your so-called man is really just a masquerading little boy.
