What’s Your Belief About Arranged Marriages?
Arranged marriages happen all the time in a lot of countries around the world, is this right?

*My Opinion counts too:
It’s sad when young men and women cannot choose who they want to marry in their lives. In my opinion, this is one of the most offensive thing to do to any human being and that is going against their “human rights” by forbidding them to marry the person they love. No family should have a right to choose their children’s mates. Can you imagine the sheer torture this brings to young men and women who are in love with each other and they have to leave the person they love to marry someone they do not love? This can destroy their mental outlook on life for the remainder of their lives.
These young people will forever have resentment in their hearts and minds and they will be miserable people for life. Can you imagine having to share a bed with someone you did not like much less love? This is torture, plain and simple, and it can be called nothing less. As for me, I cannot imagine marrying someone and have to bear their children and live the rest of my life with them. It’s my belief, this is “unconscionable” to anyone who has to live in this type relationship. I would find myself questioning if life is worthwhile.
*These people will admit regret:
There are people who have arranged marriages, and they will tell you, it’s the worse case scenario that anyone can ever imagine. It’s sheer hell for the person who is forced to marry someone they do not love, because oft times, their parents pair them with older people, and they share “no love interests” whatsoever for the people. It is a union for convenience only, a relationship where the men/women becomes the servant and has “no” say in anything.
I’ve been friends with people who’ve been paired with a person, by their parents, and their lives are pure hell. Many of these friends have asked me what “true love” really feels like and how it is to be in love with someone. Many of these friends have expressed the sheer depression and unhappiness in their lives and they feel like they are owned rather than married.
*These people will not disrespect their parents:
These people will never go against their parents decision because she/he must show them respect and nobleness or they will be a disowned child. One of these friends in particular, explained the many tears they shed almost on a nightly basis because they’ve never had a chance to experience a “true love” in their lives. They also expressed to me that they were a prisoner in their own body.
*Summation:
In my opinion, this tradition should be deemed as inhuman and as an outdated notion and it should be done away with throughout the world. Think of the impact this will have on their children, they’ll never see a real compassion or love affair between their parents and they will not know how to receive and show affection to others in their lives. This could be a lot of the problems that we are experiencing in our society today because there are so many people in our world whose feelings for others are non-existence.
