People could become over eager to file their divorce cases that they do not know where to get additional certifications either for their use or somebody else’s. Today, divorce records can be ordered from the internet, through fax, or by mail, at a very minimal fee.

Here are the exact places where you have contact to get your divorce records:

The Alabama Center for Health Statistics. Their office has records from 1950 up to present. They are located at Montgomery and the fee is $12 per record. There are no restrictions with the divorce certificates. These papers are considered public, as stated by the laws of Alabama.
The Arkansas Department of Health. For the State of Arkansas, they have records of divorces from 1923 up to the present. Located at Little Rock, they charge $8 per piece. Telephone or internet requests are also accommodated.
The Department of Health Services of California. In California, the records maintained are from 1962 to 1984 only. For those more current or later than that, you’ve got to contact the county office personally. Each copy is at $13.
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. The vital records office has divorce records from 1900 up to 1939 and 1968 up to present. For divorce records between 1939 and 1968, contacting the county personally is required. The request for copy is charged $15 each.
The Division of Public Health – Delaware. Records from 1935 up to 1975 are maintained. Located at Dover, you can mail their office through P.O. Box 637. Or call them at (302) 739-4721
The Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services. Florida maintains a database of divorce records dating back from 1927. The record fee is only $5. They only have divorce records of those marriages that occurred in Florida. Else, you have to contact the state where your marriage occurred.
The Georgia Division of Public Health. Each record request is $10. Contact the Vital Records Service. They have records of divorces from 1952 up to the current time.
The Hawaii State Department of Health. The Hawaiian Office of Health Status Monitoring keeps divorce records from 1951 up to present. Each record is at $10. The office is located in Honolulu.
The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. Their Vital Statistics Office holds divorce records from 1947. Each request costs $13. Orders may be mailed or faxed. A request form has to be properly filled out.
The Illinois Department of Public Health. The Division of Vital Records certifies and verifies divorce records through the county offices. The fee for that is $5 each. You have to go directly to the circuit court clerk in the county where the divorce was settled to get a copy.
The Kansas State Department of Health and Environment. The records maintained are dated from 1951 up to the present time. The office is located at Topeka and they charge $11 per certificate. In Kansas, a divorce record is not considered a public record; therefore it is only released to the person whose name appears on it or to their immediate family. Other people like a legal representative, a beneficiary, or a joint property owner are also honored provided they present the required identification.
