Why Honesty is Rarely the Best Policy

Now it was my go and even now I still shudder at the sheer stupidity that I showed. I have a literature degree for christ’s sake surely I would have had a bit more common sense!

I went into this great big scenario that, in hindsight, probably sounded to her like the last days of Sodom and Gomorrah! There were whips, chains, paddles, video camera’s, assorted sex toy’s, candle wax, nipple clamps and a third party (who I even went so far as to name!). In fact I got so deep into my fantasy that I ended up explaining to her the whole storyline, complete with dialogue!

I will never, as long as I live, forget the look of abject horror on her face. Not surprisingly this relationship didn’t last long after that. She never really got over the fact that she thought I was a huge sexual deviant. But hey at least I was honest with her!

This is the point I am trying to make, if you want an honest relationship and you want your guy to be honest and open with you then you will need to accept the fact that you are going to hear some things that, if you are being honest(!) with yourself, you would rather not hear. This is the reason why nothing good will ever come of being honest with your partner.

You do know that the person who coined the phrase “ignorance is bliss” was probably a man!
