Why Men and Women Cheat

Cheating has always been part of relationships

Men and women have never admitted this, but cheating in relationships has become the order of the day. It isn’t because you aren’t beautiful or handsome, it isn’t because you aren’t doing enough, and again, it isn’t because, you have become less interesting. Men and women have cheated on their spouses since time immemorial. History is awash with kings who couldn’t stick to one bed. They ended up marrying hundreds of times, looking for… for what, nothing really.

It isn’t about looks

For those who have bought the latest fashion, and worked so hard to cut their weight, and file their nails, and keep clean and tidy, only to catch him or her at it again and wonder why; you aren’t alone. These things don’t help at all. Cheating will still continue, and attempts will always be made to hide this in vain.

It isn’t about the other woman

The other woman isn’t better than you, so keep heart and stop pushing yourself to the limit. The other man has nothing special; in fact you are better by far. You will only work against your health, and this will in itself deny you the strength you require in coming to terms with the reality.

You can’t change history

You can’t change history, and that unofficial history of man claims this, though we might never admit it. Man is an animal, and just like the rest of the animal kingdom, it’s harder for him to stick to one partner. The rest of the animal kingdom does not marry, only man does, and this he does just to meet the expectations of the society of which he is part. He feels obligated to marry but never settles after this.

The grass is always greener on the other side

The grass on the other side of the fence is always greener, and he can’t resist the temptation to cross over, cross over, and cross over again, when no difference is discovered. Women too feel obligated to marry, and give reasons as wild as their biological clock ticking, or desire for a child of their own. Children can be fathered by anybody, and man! While inside marriage, boredom will most likely set in, and that’s where you notice then greener grass aforementioned.

Man is an animal and thus behaves like one

We are animals and have never evolved past standing on our two feet! We always yearn for the freedom of the animal kingdom to which we belong and shall do anything to have sex with the next man or woman on the street provided we are not found out by our spouses. The impulse and temptation to cheat is always a part of us, but the fear of being found out or contracting venereal diseases prevents a big percentage to stick to their matrimonial bed.
