Why Men Fail at Dating The Opposite Sex

Talking from my own experience and those of a few friends close to me, nine out of ten times we have failed on our dates just for one simple reason – we expected too much out of it. With the exception of a few guys, almost everyone goes out with the thought that the girl is a prospective girlfriend and maybe even a future life partner.

The pressure of this thought just drives you crazy and the nervousness shows itself in your actions. With so much of discomfort around yourself, how do you expect the girl to feel comfortable and have anything to do with you.

In this regard the girls are more chilled out. A date for them is going out with someone they feel they are interested in, get to know the person better and then take it forward from there. This exercise may even take more than a dozen dates – no pressure at all. However, it is very unlikely the guy would have survived this long and would have passed off somewhere during the third date itself.

Nervousness can lead a man to do a lot of silly things like a friend of mine once did. He managed to arrange a date – an evening at the movies – for himself and the girl he liked. On the day of the date, he just literally dragged me along and had me sit beside him. I remember him holding my hand all through and wonder whether the other hand was around her or in his pocket. Of course he never got to spend time with her again and rightly so. Threesomes are a very bad idea – it gives a very poor impression of yourself and if the person you have dragged along is hot, you may very soon find yourself watching a movie all alone !!

The best way to go forward is to think like the girl. Eventually,  I am sure she will have something in her that may annoy you and that one thing will not be evident in the first few meetings for sure. So relax and forget about making her your wife just yet – be yourself ( good or bad ) and learn to like each other for what you’ll really are. I promise, you will have a blast.
