Will Sleeping Apart Keep a Marriage or Relationship Together?

Do you sleep with your mate or in another bed? Do you think by not sleeping with your mate, you’ll separate?

One person’s opinion about sleeping together

This question is asked all the time and I wanted to give my opinion on the subject and I would love to hear your responses too. My first response is, “Why would it cause a separation if you didn’t share a bed with your mate?” I don’t know why this would affect a marriage any because there certainly aren’t any rules stating you cannot stay in bed with your mate for as long as you might like and then slip over into your own bed later to sleep.

In today’s society, spouses have many different work shifts and many of the couples today do not get to sleep together either but it certainly doesn’t ruin their relationships or marriages. If a couple is happy and sexually satisfied in their marriage and they do not sleep in the same bed together, it will certainly not affect their marriage one bit.

Many people in a relationship or marriage does not sleep together

In a lot of marriages, there are many people who have to sleep apart because of various reasons, i.e., snoring, sleep apnea equipment bothering their spouse, rough tossing and turning, restless leg syndrome, etc. There are a lot of reasons why a couple does not sleep together but it doesn’t mean there is no love in the marriage or the relationship. Some people cannot sleep with anyone because they are such a light sleeper and they wake up all night when they are in bed with someone. There are also many people who cannot stand for someone to be glued against them because they sweat to much. When a person marries, it doesn’t mean they have to be glued together every second, they have their rights to sleep as they want.

Summation

When people are married, it should be each spouses choice to sleep as they so choose. People there are “no” set rules stating a couple must occupy the same bed to sleep. There are many people who are cover snatchers, leg and arm tossers, teeth grinders, sleeping moaners and talkers, kickers and slappers, and they do all sorts of sleeping habits in beds and sometimes it can get dangerous for their mate. There are many more reasons for people to want their own beds and there’s not a thing wrong with this.
