Wives, Do Not be a Critic!
by Do not be a critic! Do not be a hypocrite! ”Why worry about a speck in the eye of a brother when you have a board in your own?”.
The best way to inspire people to superior performance is to convince them by everything we do and by our everyday attitude that we are wholeheartedly supporting them.
”Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?”, (Matthew 7: 1-4 – NIV).
Every person has their own weakness and failures but they also have their good points that no other has.
When a person is in love they usually don’t see their partner’s weaknesses and they feel that their partner is perfect. As time goes by though and they are married their partner’s flaws start to show. They then see only their partner’s mistakes and weaknesses.
We have to realize that being critical over a person may cause arguments. Especially if the person knows of our weaknesses also. To critic a person in front of others can also be hurtful and cause the person to be upset.
An unmarried woman who likes to critic other people will find herself without any men trying to get near her. Men are usually afraid of a woman who is critical.
Do not be a hypocrite, do not be a critic.
Wives should also remember that if they critic their husbands too much they may seek affection elsewhere. That is why it is better if we try and accept our friends and loved ones the way they are rather than critic them openly, because even if it is meant for their own good critic can hurt people’s feelings.
Finding faults of someone is always easier than finding one’s good points .But if we want to help those we love to succeed we should always help them by praising and commending them on their good points.
