WWW. Who am I Talking to?
by When fans find out the very artist they were conversing with was in fact a member of the artists team, how does this affect them?
In today’s modern society we have advanced from the stone age of writing to our idols via a stone tablet; we have come a log way, we now can reach our stars via Internet no longer is the pen and paper a necessary tool thanks to modern technology and social web sites.
Fans can now reach out and write what ever they feel with the click of the mouse off it goes into cyber space; in hopes it will reach it’s destination the star that you have idolized. In some cases the star will write back making the sender a very happy soul.
But wait what if the very person you were striking up a conversation with turns out to be their publicists or manager wait for it what it it were their own family members who were in reality writing back to you! How would that make you the fan feel? Would you feel a bit violated betrayed lied too?
How are the fans ever going to know that the very person that they have spent many hours on the internet and social sites was in fact not the star that they thought they were having this wonderful conversation with but in fact it all turned out to be some one else all together!
Yet this is a common practice by many stars and musicians, they are way too busy to answer their fans and therefore they turn this task over to some one on their team; leaving the poor fan thinking all the while that they have been given a special gift a gift of friendship by some one that they have admired for a very long time.
What a sham this has become the fans are the ones who end up getting their feeling hurt when the truth comes out and it will it always does! When this happens does the stars owe an apology to their fans? This writer would say yes they in fact do; a star is not obligated to write to any fan by no means!
Yet when they do or when it is presumed that they are in fact holding personal conversations with their fans this writer thinks that it should be made known right up front as to who the fans are corresponding with; this very important step would eliminate any and all speculation as well as hurt feelings and resentments that may occur.
