now this site specialize in etymology of the words, and that is not what they say religare means, it clearly says to bind or tie or fasten too

nothing about being born again, no site or reference I have found says born again

and born again does not mean born again to God

born again means a new start a new fresh feeling, born again into a different mind frame

someone can be born again into atheism, born again means a fresh person or a restart

someone can change their religion and be born again into being a buddist

it means second life or new beginning..

the thing is it does not matter if someone else does not recognize that word as what it means, I found it it in the dictionary so I do not understand how you can say it does not regonize the meaning

most atheists will grasp at anything to not be in a religion but they are

the dictionary clearly says pondering divine matters, which pondering means to think about

The referenced dictionary doesn’t pay any hommage to the words root, “re-ligare”. Re, to do something again, like re-born, re-do. Ligare, same root as ligament, something that connects. Hence, religare means to re-connect. Connect us to something we’ve been connected with before, our divine origin.

Interestingly enough the word Yoga has a similar meaning, although I’ve forgotten how to break it down.

These references does not refute the fact that atheism indeed is a “religion”, as is communism (and many isms, in fact). Maybe “belief system” is a better word.

There is one additional point to be made here. All reconnection with the divine do not take the form if religion, in the context where religion represent a system of belief, worship practice, use of religious paraphernalia, dress, etc.

Some paths instead engage in “cultivation”, the art of refining the mind and the body in the Buddhist school tradition (which is different than the religion if Buddhism with its scrolls, temples, burning of papers and incense, and other practices). Original yogis also took the path of cultivation, although both traditions now mostly resemble non-spiritual gymnastics (modern yoga, tai-chi and qi gong).

hope we can talk again patrick, I do not have many friends, and the ones I tend to make, someone usually tries to intervene with that possibility, the FBI is aware of those type of tactics, I mean the pulling people away from speaking to me, thank you so much for responding, and hope to talk to you again soon

popular etymology among the later ancients (and many modern writers) connects it with religare “to bind fast”

this came to me too, bind fast, it does not say what to bind to?

atheism binds to disprooving God, do you not see a difference in atheism and only disbeliefing in God

the atheist wakes up in the morning and places up jokes, links to discredit God,

do you not see the difference?

now I found any system of Faith, not any system of Faith and worship, any system of Faith rooted back to 1300…

now I am old school and believe in the root of the word
