Buddha
Is it a religion completely composed of one guy who meditated for about forty days? Many people would say no.
Buddhism is a religion known for its great history, but what is Buddhism?
Siddhartha Gautama was an Indian prince. He was also known as Buddha and created Buddhism. Some called him the enlightened one for doing this.
Siddhartha Gautama saw many depressing sights during his life, which later led him to become an atonal ism monk. He was on a chariot ride when he saw an old man who was suffering. He asked the driver why he was so burdened, and the driver simply replied, “It’s his age.” Later he saw a sick man whose family was very sad. That same night he left his family to become an atonal ism monk eating only a grain of rice per day. After five years of this he gave it up because it had not given him the knowledge he sought. He meditated for forty days and found the eight fold path to happiness; right views, resolve, speech, conduct, lively hood, and concentration. This is one of the most important parts of Buddhism
The religion of Buddhism is practiced in most of lower Asia and India. It was spread by Buddha and his best missionaries, including Asoka. Asoka built many temples and shrines with Buddhist writings carved in to them.
I like the idea of the eight fold path for it shows the road to peace. In conclusion I could not ever practice Buddhism, as I don’t believe in the worship of a human.
