Growing Faith
The definition of faith is quite specific. Although everyone is born with faith, using it to attain new conscious understanding requires stepping beyond old physical understanding into new interpretations. The physical understanding of faith, and what it is for is out of alignment with the justice needed for a New World society. New adjustments must be made, and faith is the substance that will provide this.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for. The evident demonstration of a reality, though not yet beheld.
The definition of faith requires that we look at a spiritual substance before it exists in form. The first step into faith is always an idea. The idea requires a decision to be made as to whether or not the idea should be taken to the planning stage. The planning stage requires learning something new. Most people get hung up in this stage, because they want their idea to take shape without them doing anything. Faith is the “substance” or the pre-requisite for something to take shape, but faith alone will not supply everything that is needed. The Bible states that faith without works is dead. A step in the direction of what is wanted must be taken.
As an example, let’s say for instance you want to become a doctor. The understanding required for becoming a doctor means you must go to college to learn something new. Therefore, faith requires something new must be learned. Learning something new means new understanding has been embraced and has become part of the individual’s consciousness. It is obvious this new understanding did not occur over night. It took some time to “grow” the faith needed to make it the substance, or understanding, needed to define what is hoped for.
What is hoped for defines what is wanted. The purpose of understanding, or acquiring the faith needed to sustain a goal, is to make sure what is hoped for will manifest into form. Hope alone, without the required faith, will not manifest into anything. Many people attempt to use hope without the faith needed to attain a spiritual goal. However, as it can be clearly seen faith comes with a price. Just like a child that grows from adolescence to adulthood, faith must grow. Just as an adolescence grows in understanding as they reach adulthood, the faith needed for new spiritual understanding must grow beyond faith as it was understood in the past.
Just in case you have not noticed, the world is undergoing a radical change. In the past, it was easy to keep up with the changes, thus understanding moved along at the same speed as change. However, with the advent of technology understanding no longer has the ability to keep up. Global news reports a new crisis every day, and no one seems to know what the solution is. New solutions require new understanding. Because old understanding does not include new technological advances being made every day, new physical solutions offered by the experts constantly fall short. It is impossible to offer expert understanding when every day technology is changing our world.
