For some odd and unknown reason to me, it’s a topic that the bulk of the population has become overly-obsessed with, with many people actually believing that homosexuality is a perversion and “a choice that one consciously makes,” meaning that it is a “sexual preference” and that being heterosexual is an orientation.
As I stated when I first introduced myself at the beginning of this book, MY sexual orientation is that of heterosexual, and that hasn’t changed during the writing of this manuscript.
Why then (you may be wondering?) would I want to educate you on homosexuality, if I’m NOT homosexual myself? Do I have a secret agenda that I’m trying to promote? NO!! The reason that I obviously need to address this topic and why I have made references to homosexuality throughout this manuscript is because in today’s society, far too many people have an unhealthy obsession over other people’s sexual orientation; who’s gay or lesbian, or bi-sexual, and who isn’t. It’s “the talk of the town” on TV, radio programs, in the newspapers, and all over the internet, not to mention a misunderstood key issue in Churches, and is a major agenda among “Born Again Christians” and the “Evangelical Christian” movement.
WHO CARES & why is it important to question one’s sexual orientation to begin with? I hope to educate all of the IGNORANT people who may be reading this manuscript who are of the belief that being a homosexual is a conscious choice that some people make at an early age, and that they’re all perverts and child molesters, and that their relationships are all sexually-based.
As I stated in the section of this manuscript about what happens at Home in Heaven when we’re drawing-up our individual Life Plans, “one’s sexual orientation is determined at THAT time,” as well as what sex we will be, what our skin color we will be, and what challenges we will need to be faced with during our next incarnation, etc. Do you remember that part?
The American Psychiatric Association, the American Psychological Association, and the American Counseling Association have all confirmed after a 50+ year study which was completed many years ago, that being homosexual is NOT a lifestyle choice that anyone consciously makes after they are born, anymore than being heterosexual is a lifestyle choice that we make when we’re younger; it’s no longer considered a mental illness or a perversion, and all three of these highly prominent associations (to include such publications as the New England Journal of Medicine) have concluded beyond a reasonable shadow of a doubt that one’s sexual orientation cannot be changed. Period!
