Protesters Declare War on Scientology

by Jack Rodnessy in Religion, July 24, 2008

Cult protesters inform the public through various protests referred to as raids.

Throughout recent history, many have protested Scientology trying to expose its human rights abuses. These protesters often take many risks in protesting this cult. Recently, an internet group calling itself Anonymous has risen to the call of bringing down Scientology.

Anonymous has in the past protested many of Scientology’s controversial policies such as fair game, disconnection, and the Scientology Intelligent Service (known as the Office of Special Affairs). These are what are believed to be the main cause of human rights abuses in Scientology.

One of the most noticeable features about these protesters is that they wear mask to protect their identity. They also stage many “mini-protests” between each major protest to inform the general public about smaller details such as Scientology’s front groups such as Narconon and Youth for Human Rights International.

There are other future planned protests in many major cities around the world. Scientology is know for many celebrities such as Tom Cruise and John Travolta.
