Religion in Our World

Humankind always in their existence had the need to pray. Even the prehistoric human already have some kinds of prays to their gods, based on nature phenomenons. Some big stone monuments from that time, comes from the prehistoric man religion.

After that, the greatest world civilizations started to appear, like the Greeks, or the Romans. Those civilizations were considered polytheists, they believed in many gods. From there on, people started to believe on one only god, the monotheism. Big wars occurred, between Christians and Muslims. Since middle age, different civilizations with different religions started to fight each other to implement one single religion on the world. The crusades and the religious wars had begun. The fanaticism that we unfortunately feel today, had started here.

The most ironic thing about religion, is that one thing that should unify people, is one of the biggest ways of war and violence between people. It looks like that people forget the ideals that should be common in all the religions, the respect for the others. They only look at their religion, and they don’t accept that other people can have other ideals, it looks like that they get blind. The other problem is that just because one person belongs to some religion, he is “expelled” from the society because of the actions of the fanatics of his religion.

People can have the religion that they want, wherever it is Catholicism, or Judaism, it’s their rights, but everyone need to know one important thing, the respect for the other is essential to live in society, too bad is that not everyone remember this.
