Religious Ponderings and Queries

What are the principals which should govern a mans journey through life? In the pages which follow I will attempt to explore my beliefs on this subject, and to form a set of iron principals by which I can live my life. Principals which will guide me to the destiny that the universe alone can conceive.

I believe that all religions have a few central themes for a reason. There is a truth in all of the worlds greater religions. The love you send out to others, deserving or not, can never lessen you, and can only make you greater than you were. I believe that the idea which religions foster, of everything being in gods hands, that at the end of the day, you can let your worries go, for they are in the care of a greater force than yourself, Is essential to the sanity and prosperity of all men. For myself I favor the belief that the universe is all interconnected at the sub-atomic (or perhaps sub-string?) level. that there is an underlying energy which flows throughout the universe and binds it together as a whole. I believe that the universe has a kind of meta sentience, and that if you but open  yourself to the bounty of the universe, that it will direct the resources that you need to you, or you to them.

Now that being said, there are an infinite number of paths that a man can walk. Is there a path, or set of paths that are more correct, more in harmony with the universe or humanity? I strongly believe that a man is merely walking in circles unless he is driven towards a specific goal, a life purpose. Many religions set this purpose for you. As a matter of fact off hand I cannot think of a single religion which does not. I on the other hand, do not believe this to be my path through life. I believe that all men when the time comes will be pulled towards their life goal. It is much like a magnate, you are a magnate and your life mission is your opposite (attracting) magnate. When you are far away from your life goal, when you are headed in the wrong direction, you will feel little or no pull from your life’s mission. But if you are open to it, if you know it is out there, and are seeking it, the closer you come to it, the harder the pull will be. For some men their life goal is to protect a species from extinction, for others it is to Love a single woman as a goddess and to make her life complete, the range is as varied as Humanity its self is. And I believe that at the core of being a man, is the need to have a compass which pulls you steadily, unerringly towards your destination. When your compass is “on” all the other distractions in life can be evaluated as either moving you closer or tempting you from your path. Decisions like weather to move to Ohio to take that new job become much more simple. Does it help me complete my life’s mission?

True, in every religion there’s a central core or main points to consider, there are every good reasons why most people are following such religion. And, to conclude, I believe that the main reason why people are following that religion because of the concept of spirituality and God in such religion.
