Separation of Church and State: What Do You Mean?
Everyone speaks of separation of church and state specially those doing or wanting to do things that once were considered wrong, or out of the normal realm of what was considered normal. What is normal?
It is this author’s belief, that others believe it isn’t enough anymore to allow people of non-faith based philosophy’s to finally come “out of the closet” so to speak, but they want to change to the point of destruction everything many faith based believers grew up with as a fundamental foundation for life as well. But if you were to literally dissect this foundation of the faith based culture you will find that, as the saying often goes, one must take the good with the bad. I’m sure the majority of the American people would certainly agree that the good far out ways the bad
The “Ten Commandments” for instance, to which if one were to dissect it would find that it parallels the very basics for the laws for which we hold to within our own court houses today. Are we supposed to allow stealing, killing, etc. in our midst? I think not; but many of the foundations for our very government are found in the Holy Bible to which suddenly everyone wants to re-write or destroy without any thought as to the implications or the repercussions doing so would have on this country. For example: Why do we Americans care about how others in other nations are treated today? Why is it so important for our own government to put its people first?
The answers are also biblical, “Love thy neighbor as thy self.” In the Bible in various places it talks about being an example to others, so it would stand to reason that a nation telling other countries how to live would have to show by example how it’s done. Not that anyone lately has really thought much about that obviously, considering the state of Human affairs in most of the states of our own country today.
Let me ask you this, if our government didn’t believe in helping it’s neighbor then why are we going to such great lengths to help them to become so called free people like the U.S.? Is the government acting on its own behalf for nothing more than land rights and mineral rights? If you all truly believe that is what our government has become how much longer do you believe it will take for our government to become the true dictatorship and is that what the people of the United States of America wants now?
