The Greatest Writer

Jose Rizal, our country’s national hero, author of the famous books “Noli Me tangere” and “El filibusterismo”, Richard Bach, author of the inspiring bestseller “Jonathan Livingston Seagull”, and Robert R. McCammon author of the spine chilling triller “Usher’s Crossing”. These are only a few of the world’s uncountable skilled writers, who had entertained us with their heartfelt stories that opened our thoughts and imagination. But have you ever wondered who is the greatest writer?

Have you ever stopped for a minute to look around you? Have you ever noticed the beauty of every living thing? It’s amazing how everything was created perfectly with its own unique distinction and purpose of its existence. Every animal, plant, and insect has a fascinating tale behind it written by the time’s greatest writer. Tales of creations we often ignore and take for granted.

Before the day we were even born, he already prepared the setting and plot of our lives along with all the characters or people we were bound to meet in our lifetime. I believe that every life is a perfect story written by his skillful fingers spiced up with the perfect blend of action, drama, comedy, romance, and suspense. However, many believe that life is seventy percent choice and thirty percent destiny, which means not everything we do and decide in life is in God’s original script. There are times when we set off on our own taking our chances on a trial and error basis. We often blame GOD for the bitter consequences of our own actions, but we always forget that we are the ones to be held responsible for them.

My Mom always told me that the Almighty always had a way to make a negative decision or event positive, though sometimes it is hard for us to comprehend. Like the ongoing war now between the United States and Iraq, could we see something positive out of it, when all we could see are its negative effects worldwide? It is really difficult to perceive a positive angle from all the destruction and all the lives being sacrificed for its cause, but only GOD can turn all these positive. How? Well, often times he work in ways we can’t always see, but in his silence he does amazing wonders.

We often ask him why does he allow some terrible events to happen in our lives like families being torn apart, crimes, people taking advantage of others, etc. However, in every bad event that happens, there is always a valuable lesson hidden somewhere between the lines. A lesson destined to make a better and stronger person out of us, although it may takes time for us to realize what the lesson is and what it taught us.

No matter how complicated and hard our lives may seem, it is a unique story written by the greatest writer of all time that’s sure to have a happy ending in the end.
