Unify!

by brookepadilla in Religion, March 17, 2009

I find most people who would like to claim to be right in their close minded, religious beliefs. I have been hearing a lot about people choosing to be more spiritual instead of religious because they have become disillusioned with religion. I am thrilled that this is coming to pass that the world is starting to seek something more than numbing religion, and I would like to be one who can help this movement go where it should.

The purpose of this article is not in any way to put down christians, as I myself have taken Jesus Christ as my savior, and rejoice in my own salvation from his blood. The purpose of this that I wish to convey to you is my own findings from 10 years of the study of religion, it’s symbolism and origin. I use these examples below not to criticise, but to point out simple undisputable facts that started my own search for the truth, and hopefully, possibly, yours as well. There are many more similaritites in christianity and pageanism; as well as all other religions, but I find these to be most comprehedable by those who have had no previous study of religion.

Since the beginnning of what we consider civilization man has tried to make since of why we are here. He has tried to put down logical, meaningful questions; with there scientific, factual answers. In this they too have found it important; for some reason, to convince the world of their findings. Believing that their answers are the only correct ones.  Christians seem to be the leader of this “war”, even though they themselves can not decide on a unified belief system, and have segregrated themselves into many denominations. The truth, though, is that all of these denominations have enriched in them many pagean rituals, and holidays, which christians seem to be completely oblivious of. The pageans used chants and incense such as the catholics, and all christians celebrate the birth of Christ at the time of Yule, the pagean celebration for the birth of their god. I have found this to make sense as the early christians when trying to convert pageans found that many did not want to give up their festivals and rituals, so, the christians conformed their rituals and holidays around those of the pageans.  Anyone who has studied religion or pageanism to any depth would find the similarities of pageanism and many christian denominations astounding. Catholicism being the most similar; and truely almost identical, as they have their saints that govern many facits of life, and their female deity to which they pray, just as the pageans.

This article would have to be a book for me to convey to you all that I have discovered in the religions of the world, but truely they all boil down to one fact. All religions have at their center the same belief; that something more wise and powerful than ourselves created us, and that our lives are spent trying to connect with this creator and fulfill it’s purpose for us. Not in my research, but in my search of truth in the heart, I have found that this creator is Love, and that it’s purpose for us as a whole is: to love. This being so, how is it that so many wars and personal disputes have come from religion? How is it that there are so many different groups of christians and religions? How is it that even though it is written plainly in every Bible, Koran, Torah, etc. that none have the right to judge except this creator, we still judge our brothers everyday for their actions and beliefs? I have found the answer to this. Fore, what would want to segregate us; what would want to confuse our minds with minute detail to shield us from the calling of mankind? You may call him whatever you like, but if you are one who reads this with disgust, and refuses to see that we are all the same at the core of our being, you too are in his grasp. So, this I say to all christians, pageans, muslims, buddhists, etc.: UNIFY, and learn to follow the true voice of Love! Their lyes salvation.
