A Man’s View of Female Sexuality

A woman still risks the prospect of a long-term relationship if she is too quick to engage in sex. Men like the thrill of the hunt. The conquest is good, but if it comes too soon, the man may lose interest in the woman. It is still true that men may want to date a loose woman, but he usually will not want to marry her. Concerns about her ability to be faithful to a monogamous relationship may keep a real relationship from developing.

If everywhere he turns, a new former sex partner of his girlfriend or wife is appearing, this may prove too much to handle. While the same is true for the man’s past sex life, women have had centuries to adapt. Men have only been dealing with this issue on a wide scale for a decade or two. Men would still prefer to think that they are the only man for the woman that they marry. This is the double standard still alive and well. A woman who makes the man wait risks that he will look elsewhere for he sex that he wants. So, if she says yes, she risks the relationship. If she says no, he may move on anyway.

Most television shows and movies are taking this theme and running with it. This is causing men to rethink how their wives and girlfriends are seeing other men. Comments on bodies, brains, and clothing can undermine a male partner’s sense of self-confidence. Men are learning to feel what women have felt for years. The difference is that men need that confidence to be able to perform sexually. Women may not enjoy it as much, but they can perform with or without confidence in the bedroom.

Overall, women are still more interested in the romantic aspects of sex more than men. Although some women may seek just the physical act of sex, most will opt for the emotional encounter, too. Unlike men who frequently are ready to walk away from sex, a woman wants to believe that she will be remembered tomorrow. This may never change. It is wired into the basic difference between men and women.
