A Message From Russia: Sex Machines

The following is an advertisement that I received from someone in Russia. I translated the message to (broken) English and deleted and added a word here and there to make it a little more understandable and acceptable. Some sentences are puzzling but I thought I would leave them as I received them. I was surprised to receive such a message, but it does beg the questions: Has the world become so technological that women and men will no longer need each other some day? Are we becoming so perverted that anything goes?

The Russian message above speaks of sexual robots.  Asian countries, such as Japan are working on robots that can look and feel lifelike.  Do you realize that these inhuman objects may perform sexually better than a real person?  But, can these things really bring happiness and joy besides sexual gratification to those who would use them?

We are truly in a sexual revolution.  Women kissing each other, especially in public, use to be taboo.  In fact, they use to be burned to the stake for such behavior.  Men never showed any kind of sexual affection towards each other.  It was not “manly.”  Lesbians and gay men use to be considered a separate and perverted group of people.  Nowadays, more and more women are going ga ga over each other and men are publicly admitting to, and pushing such perversion.  I am sorry if this bothers someone, but I do not believe such behavior whether caused genetically or learned is appropriate.  I know I will get some vicious comments, but shoot away if that will give you some sort of satisfaction, but it will not change anything.

I blame most of this on the decadent and liberal media, laws that prevent us from controlling our children, lack of training and guidance in the home and lack of any kind of spiritual training and thinking, such as not going to church and so on.  .  (Oh, by the way, I am not a religious fanatic, I am not catholic, which is okay, and I am not a far right extremist.  I am an educated person who was taught values and is not easily fooled or convinced of anything without facts.)

Society is lulled into believing they have to accept perverted behavior.  Everyone is so afraid of being outside what they believe is the norm, which in this case, the norm is believed to be to accept homosexuality and sexual perversion, so they are afraid to speak against it and instead, support it as if they truly accept it.  People today are afraid to stand up for there values, instead they compromise them and go with the flow.  It would be wise for anyone to read the Bible story of Sadum and Gamorra.  The people had become so perverted that God destroyed them.

Anyone over forty or fifty will remember when sex was truly a wonderful act only shared with someone we were in love with.  It was meaningful and bonding for those who were in love.  Today, sex is public and treated as a filthy commodity.  People believe they should have sex immediately when meeting, as if that is all a relationship is about. Isn’t that the theme in most movies?  I remember when girls had dignity and guys had to work at getting to first base; it took a lot of time and the girl had to believe the relationship was lasting.  I understand now that young girls almost demand it from guys immediately.

I believe we are on a path of self-love (narcissism), shame and loneliness.  No wonder there are so many lonely people.  Sexual products, no matter how well they seem human, are not human.  No matter how much individuals try to shut out the opposite sex, it can not be done completely.  Sexuality is much greater than physical gratification.  We as humans are wired to share our souls, compassion, warmth and feeling of being wanted and loved with and by the opposite sex.  No machine or product will ever be able to provide these needs.

I think there is no question that men and women will always need earh other. We are sexual huuman beings and we will always need someone to love and to love us. but neither do I think sex is filthy. I don’t quiet know what you mean when you say perverted. We are all sexual beings and I don’t consider any sex act perverted unless it’s done to children, to someone against their will, or through force or coersion. We were made to enjoy sex.

Sometimes sex is looked at like a shoe that should be tried to see if it fits before comittment is made. You always have such unusual posts and I follow your well composed articles.

Ruby, The first couple sentences of the second to the last paragraph say how I feel about sex; “Anyone over forty or fifty will remember when sex was truly a wonderful act only shared with someone we were in love with. It was meaningful and bonding for those who were in love.” That would include anything sexual as long as it was satisfying to both. When I say “perverted sex of today,” I mean just that. When sex is not between two peole who love each other and it is pushed by the media (movies, internet, advertizements and such) as something everybody should do with anyone, anytime, then it is not right in my book, and that is perverted. I am speaking of the way sex is treated today, not the act or process itself..

thanks for sharing this very intriguing if not weird article. I’m just wondering what is going on the minds of these so called ’sex machines’ inventors. Poor Russian men, they now are now facing a great competition not against fellow Russian or by other males in general but with emotion-less machines.

Wess, you are absolutely right! Sex should be something sacred between two people who care deeply for each other but instead it is more and more becoming an act that is carried out with anyone and anywhere and now with anything! So now they are making machines to perform a man’s job! Some things are better left alone!

There are a couple punctuation and grammatical errors in the article. It’s too much of a hassle to get corrections made, so I will let it go. Please excuse them.

The only purpose you had in publishing this was to have some sexual contents in order to get more clicks. I don’t for a moment believe your claim that you are concerned about decadence and stuff.

Well, Salikhana, you will believe whatever you want. There isn’t much I can do about that. Yes, I agree with you that I hoped to get more views if I wrote about the subject, isn’t that the whole idea of publishing articles? If we wrote about subjects that no one was interested in, wouldn’t it be a waste of time? When checking my email one day, I surprisingly received the subject advertizement from Russia. At first I wondered why I received such an email and on such a subject, but then I thought it would be a great article to write about and to include the message in my article. You are wrong about my value system. Even though, I thought the subject would be great to share, my personal thoughts and beliefs on the subject are correct and honest.

It’s a sad state of affairs if people rely on machines for their sexual gratification. However, the day may be coming when more and more people succumb to this. There are already a lot of people who spend enormous amounts of time in virtual worlds like Second Life, and engage in “virtual sex”. The simple touch of another human being may become an anachronism.

very intriguing indeed….that “three word thing” is sacred i believe and should be done with two people in love at the right time and at the right place with the right person…-not with a machine… pity to those russian who invented them and who made them too. More pity to people who used them…tsk, tsk, tsk

Very interesting. While I love reading your work, I can’t help but be glad we do not know each other in person. I don’t think you would like me and you would totally think I’m very much a pervert…
