                                          AFRICAN MEN

     To every African woman, men are cheats and undependable; they lack fidelity. In the societies where their laws forbid polygamy, men choose to have many girlfriends and mistresses. But here in Africa and the Middle East, men are free to have many wives and still keep girlfriends and mistresses.

  Are men doing all this because of sexual desires alone? Are there other reasons why men can never be satisfied with one wife {the monks and the holier than thou are excepted here}. Sexual insatiability can not be over ruled because many men think women are like food, the more you eat a particular one, the more you get tired of it.

    This conclusion sounds so absurd because man does not marry a woman because of sex alone. There are other reasons like reproduction, companionship and religious injunction, why men marry woman. A man is like a traveler who need a co-traveler to reach his destination in life {either he likes it or not}. Though sex is the primary reason but it shouldn’t be the sole reason for marriage.

   Some wives turn down sexual advances from their hubbies sometimes because they don’t want them [husbands] to get tired them quickly after so much incessant rounds of sex. Some African women give their husbands a kind of ‘go-ahead’ to have sex partners outside instead of disturbing them. This later becomes so dangerous as the outside mistresses later consult the traditional priest- popularly called Babalawo in Nigeria-to help them with spiritual means to get the man on their sides totally.

   Men also cheat when he discovers that the girl he dated for many years during courtship is no more the woman in his home. Though she answers the same name and still carries on the same flesh and blood but her attitude has drastically changed. She becomes so jealous that she suspects every move her husband takes, every call he picks, every hour he enters home. Some women are angels when dating men but turn to another thing else after marriage. In such situation, a man who is avoiding a situation whereby his children become products of a broken home would still maintain such troublesome woman but still keeps girls outside for consolation.
