What Science Says Today

Modern science says that grown-up bull-elephants become aggressive once in a year and their such state is called musth. A musth bull certainly has a distinctive smell separating it from others. It is also be a signal to the females. A musth elephant shows symptoms that it is ready to mate, and fights other bull elephants, attacks other animals, and may even destroy inanimate objects in its way. A musth bull produces a distinctive low-frequency vocalization, called the musth rumble, and has thick secretions from their temporal glands found between the eye and the ear and also continuously dribbles urine. This secretion as a very strong ability for reproduction.

It is sad that many of the natural methods which had been used in the past have been neglected and forgotten in the change of lifestyles of the recent past.
