Are One Night Stands Worth It?
by With casual sex becoming more and more popular and normal one wonders whether there is any point to it, especially if you already have a loving caring partner. Yet more and more people are choosing to cheat on their partner and others who are single enjoy a string of one-off sexual conquests. Why?
For those who are only seeking casual sex, or who would rather have love but cannot find it and are happy to make do with second best, casual sex may seem to be fulfilling in the short term. Perhaps it is possible to make do with casual sex if you cant get loving sex or a proper relationship, but why bother to make do with casual sex if you want more? And why choose casual sex over a committed serious relationship?
Sometimes men like the idea of casual sex because they think then it is just about fun without any strings or commitments. If they can get someone to see them on the basis of sex only for a one off that would suit them fine. It saves them money on prostitutes, brothels, escorts and massage parlours and massages their ego, as this way they can believe that the woman actually fancies them and it is not a business transaction to her. What they forget is that a fussy woman would not want such an arrangement and if the woman is happy about it being a one off then she does not really fancy them as a person, she is merely frustrated. If she really fancied them she would want to see them more than once. Women can claim to enjoy one off sex but they usually get emotional and upset about things afterwards and they can set out to find someone for a casual fling and then want to see them again. They also have to think about things like becoming pregnant and make sure that if they are having sex with a stranger they do not become pregnant, no matter what the stranger may promise about not being able to make someone pregnant. A woman can promise she is on the pill when she is not, a man can promise he has been sterilised or using a condom when he is not. When a man(it is rarely a woman) is desperate to go with ANYONE who will have him then it is not lust, he is simply looking to release frustration and would probably go with anyone who says yes to him. Lust is when you desire a certain special person and only that person will do. Sometimes a frustrated person will pretend to want a certain person just because it sounds better than admitting the truth and gives them more chance of success.
