Bdsm Explained, Bondage and Discipline
A part of Bdsm is bondage and discipline but what is it and what does it mean?
Bondage & Discipline (B&D) is the first main aspect out of three that is involved in Bdsm, the other two parts are Dominance & Submission (D&S) and Sadism & Masochism (S&M). Bondage is the most popular activity out of all the aspects of Bdsm.
Unlike the two aspects of Bdsm bondage & discipline are not connected as such but they do share some similarities. Unlike Dominance & Submission and Sadism & Masochism there is no set and defined top & bottom itself, as the activities are general and vague where as the other two aspects are specific in what they are.
Bondage is the practice of physically tying someone up or restricting them (physical restraining) and very often a sexual practice, although it is not always. An important part of bondage is trust from both parties, whether you are tying someone up or someone is tying you up. The bondage doesn’t need to be painful or uncomfortable, it could be as simple as the hands tied to a bed post just before sex.
Discipline on the other hand is about mentally training and restricting them (psychological restraining) using rules and punishment to change behaviour. The form of a punishment can be very different depending on the other person. Some punishments could be in the form of pain caused physically (spanking for example). Another punishment could be humiliation, it doesn’t have to be public or sexual humiliation and is very often psychological rather than physical. Orgasm denial can be another form of punishment, for example the person getting punished could be teased but not allowed to orgasm.
