Human and Sex Life
Human and sex life.
Recent studies on sexuality have revealed that the sexual aspects are of fundamental importance for the construction of personal identity and the evolution of the individual in the social sense: Human sexuality is not just an instinctive or a stereo conducted, as happens in animals, but is influenced more by the mental one hand and the other by social, cultural, educational and regulations of the places in which individuals develop and realize their personality. The sexual therefore requires an analysis based on the convergence of different lines of development, including the emotions, feelings and relationships.

Unresolved issues in scientific research concerning the explanation of why sexual behavior are so different, because it steps on a continuum from those that can be called “sexual preferences” are considered normal, with other forms of sexual behavior less common, up to extreme aberrations are considered, and as long as what is called “perversion” is considered pathology. The questions relate mainly because sexual pleasure is related to behavior varied and specific to each individual. Human sexuality is so tied to a personal, individual.
The research on these questions has called upon the study of Neuropsychophysiology that generates that particular kind of pleasure which is experienced as “sexual”. The research in this area say that the quality of this pleasure is not dependent on peripheral receptors or specific parts of the nervous system-specific, as with other feelings, but that everything is processed as such at the level of the central nervous system, especially at the cortical level , from the totality of individual experience, both sensory and internal. This essentially explains the psychological aspects of individual variability of sexuality: no one has a brain equal to that of another. Genetics determines the formation of the brain, but its microstructure and its features depend on the experience: this is different from individual to individual. Inheritance fact alone does not explain the individual. The mind is part of the biological bases that are influenced by the environment, and sexuality is a dimension of “particular” the human mind and therefore different from subject to subject. So you explain all the connections with the inner images (the erotic imagery), and memories that influence sexual attraction, falling in love and excitement, to orgasm.

Neurophysiological studies, demonstrating the massive involvement of the neural regions that process emotions, seems to contradict this interpretation. Human sexuality would then be defined as an emotion, and like all emotions it is also expressed somatically. Peculiarities of human sexual excitement compared to other emotions, is the largest and most visible manifestation somatic showing his genitals. These studies also guide therapy are derived mainly the so-called psychological sexual dysfunction , which would be interpreted as real rather than failures, ie originating from some cause which has disturbed the normal function of the system they refer to as functional peculiarities of the individual individual in relation to the “gender dimension”.
