Male Sexual and Emotional Immaturity

I am a forty three year old man with a bachelor of science with a major in psychology who thinks and writes about these issues a lot. I can say we are confused about our wants, needs, and desires. Traditional values like monogamy, marriage, and family out way quick fixes.
It is what we were made for to be in life. However, I wonder why no one praises these values. There is a lot to be said for honest and true love. It is great to have a friend and companion to enjoy life with and confront the challenges of life.
In article I wrote about how to fail in a marriage my central point was to go through a difficult upbringing that would leave you with hang ups and issues, take no time to get to know the person you marry, cop an attitude when the person does not give you what you want, and retaliate by cheating on the person. I was trying to use reverse psychology to make a point. Many people missed this point.
We all go through a difficult upbringing and as adults have hang ups. These hang ups interfere with smart choices which lead to getting in involved with a person before we even have a chance to know who they are exactly. Then we are in a relationship we do not want, afraid of getting out off, and afraid to loose.
Mental health professional know what the term immature means. We are supposed to reach a level of emotional and intellectual smartness. Anything under this level is immature. This means an immature person does not have the emotional and intellectual smarts to manage life.
Poor person who gets involved with a person who cannot meet the challenges in life and who sees sex as a game. The solution is through “looking within” getting to know yourself and your needs, wants, and desires. This way you will not be emotional needy and quick to formulate relationships that are not in your best interest.
There is nothing we can do about other people’s issues. We can only control our lives. It is my firm belief that every one wants a good life. Life requires wisdom and effort.
