I have always been curious about the Phone Sex Industry. You know how you see in the movies a guy calling on an ad that contains a picture of a beautiful girl, and the punch line is that on the other end of the phone is this fat, ugly beer drinking guy pretending to be a woman?

Well I recently had a chance to learn a little more about Phone sex workers and the service they provide. It turns out to be quite a bit more positive and experience and job than I had first imagined.

I was also wrong when I figured that the phone sex operators would be going out of business due to competition with web cam girls and all the free porn and chat on the Internet. I could not be more wrong. Though there are “down times” seasonally these girls make a hell of a living from establishing a strong customer base.

I spoke to Juiliette over at www.hotphonesexunlimited.com and got the low down on how this works. First of all she admitted to being nervous as hell her first week doing this 3 years ago when she decided to get in this business. What surprised me though is that she said she honestly told the clients calling that she was “new”, this did not turn them off, in fact they continued with the calls and helped her along in fulfilling their fantasy.

Juilliette’s honesty is the mainstay of her business. She claims to never have had a bad experience in all this time. In fact she states clearly that all her customers are friendly and not the shady, dirty old man we so expect them to be. Most of the men, as it turns out, are just trying to fulfill a fantasy without actually cheating on their partner. Sometimes it is because the partner just won’t go for the fantasy. A lot of times it’s because these men travel a lot and are lonely on the road.

When a customer calls and asks Juilliette what she is in to, she tells them “It’s easier for me to tell you what I am not in to”. If she does get a fetish that does not make her comfortable, she can do what is called “passing the call”, thus sending it to another operator who can better fulfill the callers fantasy or desire.

They get most of their customers from chat rooms that they have as this allows the possible client to get a feel for the girl’s personality and if they would like to call her. The chats are free, but it is made clear that no cyber sex is going to occur; they only get off if they make the call and pay.

Juilliette gets lots of regular and repeat callers, after talking to her I can see why, she has a very pleasant voice and is an attentive listener. Another thing next to being very honest that she says is so important. She states that to be good at this you must be as attentive as possible, do your work in a quiet room with absolutely nothing else going on around you, this means no TV, or ironing, etc while you are trying to satisfy your customers needs.

Her company is very fair too, you pay upfront for ten minutes, how you use them is up to you. If you finish before hand then you can still stay on and talk to her, if you’re not finished when the time is close to up, she will very politely ask you if you wish to buy more minutes. Her business does not just try to hold you on for every second to get every cent. Though I do know that there are many that do.

The ability of the operator to establish a good customer base is key to when times become slow, as Juiliette told me things slow down after Christmas because people have less money. Yet, if you have done your job properly and made every experience comfortable for your client then that customer base will get you through the “down time”.

This also keys in with many problems that we now face in our society due to promiscuous behavior. People are becoming more and more afraid of contracting diseases, unwanted pregnancies, abuse and many other factors that may arise from unhealthy sexual choices. Let’s face it, the urge is in most of us, sex is normal. Yet, for those who fear the consequences of bad choices, well, what could be safer than phone sex?
