Father Ksawery, a polish priest, recently published a sex guide for married couples – “Sex as you don’t know it: for married couples who love God”. The aim of the book is said to be to help spice up the sex lives of married couples in a theological manner.

The most interesting aspect, however, is not in writing the book but instead publishing a book explicitly on sex by a celibate monk. How exactly do you teach a person about an issue as sensitive as sex without having a practical experience yourself? Well that has not stopped the book from becoming a hit in Poland with the backing of the Church particularly as many curious Christians and non-Christians alike want to find a rare view of a “Holy” Priest on the hot topic and what he means when he says “sex in marriage should not be boring but saucy, surprising and action packed”.
Perhaps one should also commend Father Ksawery’s bravery to talk about a topic, so many in the Catholic Church consider a taboo, in such specific and graphic detail. It is not yet known what the final impact of this book will be but the author hopes it will help married couples to express their love more intimately and grow stronger in their chosen faith.
