Sex, Lies, and The Average Penis

A small article discussing the average size of the male genitalia and the disingenuousness that surrounds it.

Before I get started, I’m going to throw in a small disclaimer. I am not, I repeat, am NOT an expert on the following topic; I’m simply a person that has researched this topic many times and would like to explore what exactly I’ve encountered. In no way am I discrediting certain studies done on this topic, but simply giving an opinion on the results of those said studies.

Now then, on to the topic.

Whenever the question “What is the average male penis size?” is asked on google, it will seldom ever be met with a straight answer. Often times you’ll be pitched the old bullshit line: “Well, most men fall into the range of 4.5 to 7 inches in length when erect.” Well you know, most men also fall into the range of 2 to 12 inches when erect. The vagueness of these answers is counterproductive. To explain why they have such a lame answer, they’ll back it up with about ten different studies that were done using 10 different methods. Okay, that might be exaggerating a bit, but the inconsistency shouldn’t be a shock.

From what I’ve seen, two different kinds of studies appear: one that entails the male genitalia being measured by nurses or researchers themselves or the male subject measuring himself. I would like to focus on the former rather than the latter, because the former has something that the latter doesn’t; a second person to testify about the measurement. Now before I go on, I’m not implying that men who measure themselves are lying, but when a second person is recruited to measure, it usually gives the measurement a little more credibility because the second person has no reason to lie about the results.

From all of the trials that were performed using a research staff member to measure the male subject, I’d say that the average male penis size when erect is 5.5 inches in length. The range for this method of data collection was a little more specific compared to the range garnered from combining results from studies done with another person measuring and without another person measuring. This range was 5.1 to 5.9, which was profoundly different than it’s more vague counterpart of 4.5 to 7.

Now, if you’re below the average penis size, don’t fret. The vagina is roughly 4 inches deep, so if you’re not one of those rare men with a manhood smaller than 4 inches, then you don’t have anything to worry about.
