Sexual Stages of Women: Ages 20-50

It is well known that the hormones called estrogen and testosterone play an important role in increasing or decreasing sexual attraction. But it is not the only thing which has an influence on women’s sexuality. Sexual attraction depends on different factors such as hormones, age, physiological factors, and social factors. One should not forget about hereditary as well. Although a woman’s sexuality is individual in nature, all age categories have much in common.

20 years: a woman is single and happy.

In spite of the existing opinion, the age of 20 is not an obligatory time of impetuous sexual attraction.

Too many girls of that age are concerned with the problems of their appearance, their studies, or their career. According to statistics, unmarried women are twice as worried about their sexual attraction and sexual abilities as married women are. The more stable the relations are, the more sexual attraction a woman has. Some research shows that if a woman has sex less than once a week, she has more problems with her menstrual cycle and ovulation than women who have regular sex.

Additionally, two-thirds of diseases transmitted by sexual connection are typical for people up to the age of 25, and women are infected more often than men. It is unnecessary to say that a fear of being infected doesn’t increase sexual attraction. Nevertheless, the fear of unplanned pregnancy is rated first among the reasons for a decrease in sexual attraction. It may sound contradictory, but the necessity of using contraceptives also decreases sexual attraction. As we see it, it is an exclusive circle.

Besides, the sexuality of many young women is determined by a regular menstrual cycle, and sexual attraction either increases or decreases depending on this cycle. During ovulation a woman’s attraction is at its peak — that’s why they orgasm quicker than at other times. It’s not accidental that during this period women have greatest chance of becoming pregnant.

The most popular contraceptive method among young women is hormone pills.

They can affect the libido differently. They can either suppress the secreting of testosterone (which is responsible for sexual attraction), or they can increase sexual attraction because a woman relaxes and isn’t afraid of becoming pregnant. When partners use condoms, the intensity of sexual sensations falls down as well as sexual attraction.

30 years: a woman is married and has children.

By 30 years of age a woman, as a rule, has achieved a certain level of self-knowledge. She clearly understands her needs. Moreover, by that time most women have stable relationships. Their libido has achieved its maximum level, and only the birth of a child or some problems at work can decrease it.

Techniques of sex are being improved through practice, and by the age of 30 women orgasm easier and quicker.
