Spice Up Your Sex Life with “50 Shades of Grey”

Cheers to E.L. James.

Mills & Boon inspired or pornography? I’m still wondering. No matter what, it sure had me turning the pages.

So, Anastasia Steele (a soon-to-be graduate of Washington State University) allows Christian Grey (a handsome young Seattle business tycoon) to control her life, including all his private bedroom desires. But BDSM and bondage that Grey was into must have been quite an overwhelming experience for the virgin Steele who had, till then, spent her life curled up in an armchair reading English classics. And then she makes the greatest mistake of falling for the man, all knowing that he will never reciprocate it. The see-sawing of the protagonist’s ‘voice of reason’ and ‘voice of desire’ makes quite an interesting read.

As I read, I must admit that although kinky, there is something about the smooth flow of the book that is quite captivating. After all, it does give its readers quite a few ideas on how they can explore new avenues of their sexuality with their partners.

The book is selling like hot cakes. And yet, many are preferring to read it secretly as an e-book rather than to blatantly go and buy it from the shop. After all admitting that they enjoy reading about the almost frightening sexual tastes of Grey can take quite a lot of guts. But, the same way Anastasia, although warned by her friends, is unable to stay away from Grey; so too the readers keep getting easily disrobed by the charming Grey.

All said, this sure is a book that is and will be discussed by the female gender for a long time to come. And men should not be left out either – they should thank the book for making their ladies more open to sexual ideas. Cheers to Christian Grey! And a thumbs-up to E.L. James, a British television producer, for this creation.
