Tantra
A brief description of what tantra was and is all about.
Tantric sex simply isn’t just about sex; it is a spiritual bonding that one has with another. It is the joining of energy, of the souls of two individuals who seek clarity and enlightenment. Tantric sex can be described as mystical, meta-physical, magick and a host of other things that are too numerous to mention in one article alone. Sexual energy is only one of many ways for a person to gain and exchange energy, and tantra is just a spiritual tool some employ to get it. With tantric sex one can experience endless pleasure and complete and total awareness of their body. When practiced and performed right, all involved are greeted with the same euphoria, the same sensations, the same arousal, and the same climax, and even multiple orgasms that serve to intensify the already existing bonds of love.
The idea behind sex is mutual benefit and satisfaction. But as I’ve said the west has a lot of misconceptions, practices, and one way only mentalities, three things that not only hamper, but in most cases make sexual energy stagnant and uninvolved. In the east where it was born the practice of tantra is pretty much unchanged in regards to the principle ideals and its applications. However, this does not mean that there is an invisible line between the two hemispheres that prevents one from learning the ways of the other. In fact the opposite is true. Lessons from the east can be taught and learned and in small groups here and there within this country, you can find those who practice it and view it with the same sacredness as those who discovered it so long ago. What may have started out as religious rebellion in order to travel a different path has turned into the spiritual connecting of two persons which, I would like to think, was the intended purpose. Sexual energy as stated is one of the most powerful energies about. The exploitation of it was inevitable, but when placed within the almost ritualistic setting of tantra, grand and marvelous things occur.

Good article. Tantras are the mantras of life.
