Television: The Real Good From The Already Not So Bad

Does television have a negative effect on society? I think not! It’s not compulsory, it’s enlightening, and it’s very esthetic.
First off, watching television is not mandatory. No one forces you to watch a certain channel at a specific time (at least I hope not). It’s up to you to decide what influences your thought process. You don’t just go and watch something and then say “Oh Yeah! I want to fight someone because I saw a person get there head beat in on Fox News!” . Like seriously, things just don’t happen like that (at least for the most part).
Also, I would like to point out the blatantly obvious. Even the violence on television is educational. For example, if you see someone getting continuously punched in the face and a random bi standard ameliorates the victim, you’ve just learned two things. One, hurting others makes you look like a major idiot. And two, helping others defend themselves makes you look like a way better person than you actually are.
Sexual images have lately been thriving in the networks. So what? Sex is art. It’s only when parent’s children decide to have sex at a young age that they blame a show or the company airing that show. They do not realize that is their fault for their children’s unknowledgeable actions.
So what do you think now? Does teleivision really have a negative effect on society? I’ve presented you with a few cold hard truths and now it’s time for you to come up with a solution to this ever so controversial question . . .
