Ten Sex Enhancing Flowers

Flowers have properties for naturally promoting strong sexual desire and surging sexual energy. They have a warm, exotic, floral fragrance that relaxes, soothes, uplifts, and enhances our sexual life.

“Flowers are the plant’s sex organs, and they evoke the sex-drenched, bud-breaking free-for-all of spring and summer” This is an apt explanation to prove the aphrodisiac power of flowers given by Diane Ackerman in his “A Natural History of Love”. There is no exaggeration in this statement as it is proved by science also that flowers cause pollination and extension of life.

Flowers and Sex

Flowers, as such, are sensual in themselves. They look beautiful and attract our eyes. They smell incredible tingling our sex organs in our nose. They feel soft and silky reminding us the sex organs. Some flowers feel cool and delicious to our taste and arouse sexual urge. Men and women like flowers as they arouse their brain nerves through all their senses. That is why we spend a lot of money and time on floral scents, colors and moisturizers.

Sex Enhancing Flowers

There are many flowers that are aphrodisiac and enhance the sensory experiences such as sight, touch, smell, and even taste through our nerves- which in turn increase sexual drive or libido, improve performance and results in greater sexual satisfaction. All the ancient medicinal systems list out a lot of flowers that can enhance sex. Here I have taken only ten flowers that boost sex. Most of these flowers are recommended by the ancient Siddha system of South India.

Ten Sex Enhancing Flowers

1) Jasmine

I take jasmine as the first flower because it is the most stimulating flower used in India. It is the flower used for decorating the bed room of the newly wed couple for their first night. Jasmine is included in all the wedding ceremonies of the day from morning till the couple go to bed. It is so powerful in stimulating that everyday the groom or the lover presents a garland of jasmine flowers to arouse the mood of his lover. It increases the serotonin levels and elevates mood toward sexual activity. It also helps eliminate nervous tension and anxiety and prepare them both for their tie of bliss. Jasmine has been used throughout history not only for romance but also for balancing the feminine energy of the body. Jasmine is available in the scent form also.

2) Blue Lotus

Siddha recommends this flower with the botanical name “Nymphaea Nauchali” for menstruation problems. It was used by the people of ancient Egypt to enhance the Sex drive. It was also used to stimulate blood flow and as an anti aging agent.
