Meanwhile, activities of the cerebral region- that is responsible for the desire of understanding the thoughts and feelings of other persons- are inhibited, according to a recent study.

The researcher Susan Fiske, who is the coordinator of the study, declared: ‘The only time I noticed the same type of reaction was when people have seen pictures of persons without a home or addicted to drugs, because they don’t really want to know what happens in the minds of others’.

This experiment revealed also that men remember easier the image of a woman wearing a few clothes than the image of a woman dressed.

The results obtained after scanning the brain of volunteers shown that sexy images determine men to consider women being ‘less human’, according to the study, presented to the annual conference The American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Fiske, a professor at Princeton University in the United States, says that this combination could affect the workplace, because men have the tendency to perceive their colleagues as being some sexual objects.

When asked if women have the same reaction concerning men, Fiske declared that women tend to give greater importance to the age and bank account of men, rather than to the physical appearance.
