2012 doomsday or the end of civilization 
The famous Mayan calendar tells us that modern civilization will end in 2012. Did our usual lives only a few years? What awaits us and what we fear? We need to get nervous and immediately try to find shelter until December 2012, or will only need to closely monitor developments and act in the circumstances? How do we do with all our savings and life principles is not it time to review everything? 

We turn to the Mayan calendar, from which the roots are taking predictions of 2012 and the change of epochs. Sami Maya lived on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. This ancient culture that is rooted in the time of formation of the early Roman Empire in the pre-Christian Europe. Their civilization has subsequently spawned some later cultures: Olmec, Toltec and Aztec. According to historical data, they built the pyramids, similar to the pyramids in Egypt, though not as large in size. Civilization of ancient Indians famous for the highest knowledge in the field of astronomy and mathematics, which is reflected in their intricate and mysterious calendar. One of the puzzles was their sudden disappearance, they melted into history. 

Mayan calendar (Fig.) consists of five suns, Suns, or five periods, each of which has 5125 years. December 21, 2012 will end the last age, or 5 Sun. Last, because the calendar does not have to continue, and this is perhaps the strangest thing. What is often called “the universe is Maya, and it is divided in turn into several subcycles. 

Universe Mayan calendar consists of nine cycles, which can be transkriptirovat to-date knowledge about the occurrence of the solar system. The first cycle may include the Big Bang theory and creation of matter. At the end of the first cycle is the emergence of cellular structures, as such, and their further development, up to mammals. The second cycle was marked by the emergence of consciousness in the past. The beginning of the third cycle characterized by the emergence of primates, and the fourth of people who possess the highest level of intelligence.

In the fifth cycle, according to the Mayan calendar, the people had a speech and community-based organizations than they significantly raised their level of consciousness. Sixth cycle is associated with the emergence of writing and understanding of their roots and ethnic groups. Seventh cycle of the Maya begins with the emergence of the industrial age. The eighth cycle of the Mayan universe is a modern era, in which the globalization era of mankind. Last, the ninth cycle begins and ends in 2011, during which there is redefining knowledge and which, according to the Mayan calendar, is a decline of modern civilization. According to the “long date” Maya themselves, the exact date is December 21, 2012. 

Each cycle in the Mayan calendar, is each time period 20 times shorter than the previous one. Such a structure is explained by cyclical acceleration and it can be represented as a spiral, with ever-decreasing diameter of each new round. So imagine the events of our lives Mayans. 

Thus, the first cycle began about 16.4 billion years ago. It was at this time, the astronomers calculate, there was a so-called Big Bang, followed by the formation of matter. The second cycle began about 850 million years ago and, according to anthropological data, the first organisms appeared at this time. The beginning of the third cycle dates back to around 40 million years ago and at this time appeared the first primates. Around 2 million years ago began the fourth cycle, when the Earth emerged first people. Fifth cycle, and with it the emergence of speech 102,000 years ago, sixth, respectively, 5125 years ago, with the advent of writing from the Sumerians (about them, we talk a lot in his future articles – approx. Aut.). Seventh cycle began with the development of science and technology, about 256 years ago, in the mid 18 th century.Eighth cycle began in 1999 and will last 12.8 years, or 460 days, after which we entered the final ring of the spiral of our time, according to the Mayan calendar. 

As you can see, everything converges. Historically supported all ages of the Mayan calendar, although the current data the indication of provisional dates of the ancient Maya, as we know, did not possess. In their view, the end of the calendar, mankind will reach incredible heights of consciousness and morality, as well as close to the divine.Notice, not one comment, for example, about the catastrophe that would forever destroy the world in 2012, although everything else and are not excluded. 

So at the end of his Mayan calendar did not predict the end of the physical world, such as it is described in the Revelation of St. John the Evangelist in the New Testament.Maybe it’s not even the most successful example, as we often take for this message just as many modern theologians explain the similar pattern of Revelation bans on Christianity during the writing of this chapter. Perhaps John was referring to the defeat of the Evil Empire (Roman Empire, whose power was distributed in Palestine at the time of Christ – approx. Aut.) And create a new realm of peace and goodness, to be administered by God, but that’s another story.
