Communication Techniques
This paper covers two of the many distinctions among the different types of communication techniques used in the business world. Formal letters are the first type of communication that I have chosen to list as a communication technique used in the business world. The second technique that I have chosen is emails. This paper will cover the appropriate time to use each communication in our corporate world.
Formal letters are the first choice in this paper. I believe that formal letters are used in a variety of ways. I studied many different types of letters used in businesses and one formal letter that would be appropriate for the writing of a formal letter would be that of an employee putting in a notice to ask for a raise. I found that a formal letter would be more efficient for this type of scenario because a formal letter would be more to the point as long as there are facts to support the reason that the raise should be given to an individual.
The second of these two communication techniques used in the corporate environment would be emails. In this age of information, I believe that emails are the most common of communication used to pass information from one employee, company, or client to another. One scenario that I came up with that would seem to appropriate this type of communication in the corporate world is emailing a memo from a main office of a company to another office location within the same company. There are many other reasons and ways to use emails in the corporate world and transferring notes from one employee to another seems to be very common. An email seems that it would only be appropriate in the corporate world as long as the email is concerning the corporation.
There are many types of communication techniques used throughout the business world. Formal letters and emails are commonly used to communicate various messages throughout a company. Formal letters are best to communicate with supervisors and upper level management within the company. Emails are more appropriate to use in sending electronic memos that inform.
