To many people who are curious about the roots and origins of Criminology, Cesare Lombroso is considered known to be the proponents of the science, founding the Italian School of Positivist Criminology, he explored it and examined it from several angles so as to expose it.  It was initially employed by a law professor in Italy, Raffaele Garofalo, who first used the Italian term for the word, criminologia.  A French anthropologist additionally used the term around the same era as Garofalo, who established the term as criminology.  There are some who believe that it’s possible that the study of bumps on a person’s skull, called Phrenology, could be a better mark of representation when it comes to the scientific origins of the term.  Lombroso is considered to be the father of criminology as a result of of the many advances that he attempted to form in the sector.  If not for him, criminology would possibly not be as developed as it’s today.
