Gender Supremacy: Where Does the Power Lie?

To say that women and girls make about 62.8 percent of the world about sounds like a statement of fallacy but real. Yet all too often men fail to recognize that women throughout the world have been assigned lower position than that of men. Similarly, authorities have always been allocated to the men folk.

To say that women and girls make about 62.8 percent of the world about sounds like a statement of fallacy but real. Yet all too often men fail to recognize that women throughout the world have been assigned lower position than that of men. Similarly, authorities have always been allocated to the men folk. Social scientists have advanced different explanation for this division of labour based on sex. A few of them basing their theories on the difference in physical strength come under the domain of men while activities which could be performed in or around the house were allocated to the woman.

The psychologists feel that men and women differ in their attitudes, aptitudes and personality. The activities demanding mechanical aptitude(s) attracted the men. Similarly, the exercise of authority came under the domain of men. Women were shy, insecure and docile and as such could assume the roles of leaders because they lack the qualities of leadership.

While some sociologists claimed that there is no matriarchy in the world. According to August count when expressing himself shapely in a patriarchal spirit against women equality and every where stressed the need to consolidate the authority and power of the male father and husband. Women according to him, were beneath men intellectually, and were inferior to them in will power. Women’s social role was determined by her emotional and moral qualities, her capacity to unite people and to educate them morally. To count, it was the task of woman to exert on elevating influence on course male natures, and to awaken social feelings in them based solidarity.

However, there is other sociologist that claimed that the modern power that marriage today can be termed democratic equalitarian.

Anthropological evidence in the part of anthropologists has discovered that in many ancients civilization, women had a much enhance status. Some of those anthropological findings in express the possibility of the existence of matriarchy forms of life in most civilization. This is to say that matriarchy is fundamental. This is to say that at the down of mankind, society was basically matriarch that is organized in such a way that the women were superior to the men.

From the above, one is convinced that female power exists. It hangs over every man like ubiquitous shadow. Thee ultimate power in the society actually lies with women, mothers and wives not men, father and husbands as the patriarchy theory maintain. Indeed the life circle of man from cradle to grave may be divided into three phases, each of which is defined by the term of female power or wife power. In each phase, the woman exerts influence over the man because of the peculiar weakness which she manifests. Despite the fact that in some quarters the belief that the wish of the husband is the wife (woman) command. The woman knows women and how to manipulate a man in order to assert her supremacy. The womb, the kitchen and the cradle is the control center of woman power. Everyday of a mans life, he is subject to the dictates of the womb, the kitchen and cradle. The first rule in his vulnerable infancy; the second in his ambitious adulthood. Men are confused, misused and abused by women who employ the women are the weaker sex as argument as blackmail to hoodwink the tough and rough and so are they are strong, tough and rough and so are in charge of life and living. To them, men may rule the world especially their popular saying that “what the men termed woman’s talk, are better understood by these same men at the bedroom”. All the fruits of the labour of man in the outside world get carried home to serve the matriarchy who rules the home.

men are more assertive than women (probably because they were raised to be more passive) and that is why men dominate society. Doors have opened for women. It is far from equal but life isn’t fair so deal with it and do the best with what is in front of you. The world doesn’t care about petty feminist complaints, even if they are based on fact. Quit complaining, start doing and you will be a lot better off

I am trying very hard to understand the gender roles that are the accepted norm in today’s society. Women should have a career, carry, deliver and raise the children, and defer to their husbands because they are seen as less competent? Is this reality or a fantasy that keeps perpetuating itself in order to allow men to not have to grow up and see themselves as equal to women. Yes I said it EQUAL, different but, equal. Not all men have the same talents and strengths yet they are not diminished in society. Why should a different gender? Also I believe that some women do manipulate men by placating to their egos and pretending to be the docile weaker one it is scary to share in the responsibility of the families’ financial security. Real women are strong and weak sexual and opinionated they are true to themselves and it takes a man to be able to love and accept her as his partner in life.
