According to the magazine Science, after examining over 500 languages, Professor Quentin Atkinson , of the University of Auckland, they found that human languages are based on a single language spoken by ancestors long forgotten man in the stone age .
Also, a teacher discovered evidence shows that language arose from at least 100,000 years , much earlier than previously believed.
The discovery provides new information about one of the most important events in human evolution – the emergence of language. Although most researchers have agreed that the first modern humans appeared in Africa, when human ancestors began to speak has not been established.
Some believe that the language has evolved independently in different parts of the world, while others say it occurred in one place and the languages spoken today derive from a single. This is even more evidence that modern humans first evolved in Africa after the 200,000 to 150,000 years.
In about 70,000 years ago, these people began to migrate from the African continent, eventually spreading to the rest of the world.
Atkinson’s theory is based on a map of phonemes – the distinct sounds of language, as seen by the speakers. He counted the phonemes used in 504 languages and has made them a map, they discovered that their number, which varies from language to another, tends to increase as it approaches the sub-Saharan Africa.
For example, English has about 46 phonemes, some South American dialects have more than 15 Japanese – 20 French – 37, Russia – 38, Germany – 41 Romanian – 31 , while the language Xóõ Botswana and Namibia has 141.
Languages change from generation to generation. If a large group, languages tend to be relatively stable, simply because there are more people who recall the words of past generations.
But in small groups – in motion – no more likely to change the language from generation to generation.
