Mars & Venus: The Differences That Span Across the Universe

So we’ve all heard the phrase and maybe even read the books “Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus”.  Here are some of the sex differences that we encounter from being from opposite sides of the universe. Although humorous, we all know the true aggravations that accompanies these differences.

Okay so we (women) do dishes, go to work, watch the kids, clean the house etc. But if a man washes a dish then we must congratulate and praise him for it for months. You know what I mean ,”That dish sure does look good,” ,”Man, I sure did do a good job washing that dish”. Yet, do we ever hear a praise, much less ask for one?

So our version of a perfect date is going out to a fancy restaurant, watching a sappy movie, and being wooed by a romantic but sexy guy.Their version of a perfect date is drinking some beer, watching the game and playing pool with the guys while you sit and watch all night.

While we first meet someone we evaluate them for security, romance, and love, they look at us and evaluate our butts, breasts, and then faces.

When we get home from a hard day at work or school (or both) we want to discuss all the events of the day and hear all about theirs however when men get off work they want to get a beer, sit and watch t.v. -in silence.

We like to make a list of groceries and household products that we need to buy, men like to wait until the fridge is empty.

When it comes to sex, we want to be enticed and have a lengthy time of foreplay, men on the other hand want to jump on it minus the foreplay.

To us foreplay is a massage, kissing, etc. To men foreplay is the time it takes to get from the living room to the bedroom.

After sex, we like to be held and talk, men on the other hand want to either go to sleep or get up,get a drink and go watch t.v.

Another interesting difference is multiple-tasking. So we can talk on the phone, listen to music, wash dishes, and be preparing lunch for our kids all at the same time. Men on the other hand cannot listen while watching t.v., or talk while setting up the DVD player etc much less talk on the phone while doing dishes and preparing a meal-hm.
