Tried and Tested Ways to Tell If He’s Interested in You
Non-verbal communication may be more reliable than the spoken word. Of course, both verbal and non-verbal communication should still be taken in context.

Now that you got his attention, how can you tell if he’s interested in you? Here are a few things to look out for:
Seating Arrangements
Sit across each other particularly during the first few dates to foster open interaction, this way, you can maintain good eye contact. This position is not too close for comfort; neither does it make anyone feel too far and alienated.
Hand Gestures
Open palms suggest openness to the other’s opinions and thoughts. Across the chest always signify a closed mind. Watch out for close minded-guys, unless you want to spend most of your relationship in debates and explanations.
Eye Contact
It is good to maintain eye contact because apparently, according to studies, mutual attraction can be encouraged by pupil dilation, which is an automatic response. When faced with a person we are interested in, our pupils dilate. In turn, the pupils of the other dilate as well. But, once again, don’t lay the eye contact on too thick; otherwise your date might think you’re obsessed.
Body Direction
A body is usually directed towards the point of interest during a conversation. If you’re having dinner or coffee and your date shifts closer or leans forward, placing his arms on the table, looking as if he’s trying to adjust to hear your story clearly, it’s a good sign that he’s genuinely interested in you and what you have to say.
The Distance
You will know the closeness of the couple through the space between them –the closer the relationship, the less distance between them. Friends have little or no space in between, and physical affection in the form of hugs, holding hands, etc. are evident. How can you tell if a friend is interested in something more? Sitting closely to each other, a hand placed on the knee of the other, or a head resting on the other’s shoulder—these could be indicators. Hands on the waist of the other or a little hand-holding can be signs that a “relationship” is building.

Real talk
Now if a person is saying one thing and doing another, or you’re plain confused, there is one more thing to do: ASK.
