Why I Would Want to Live with Egyptians

If I were able to live during the time of one of the ancient civilizations, I feel that I would want to live with the ancient Egyptians. The mysteries behind the ancient Egyptians has always intrigued me. I would want to know all of the truths that modern day scientists have been theorizing about for centuries.

            The first thing I would want to know is exactly how the great pyramids were constructed. I know all of the theories, but no one knows for certain. I want to know if they would wait for the Nile River to flood, in order to help move large slabs of limestone, to construct the pyramids, closer to the construction site. Or if the tools shown in the hieroglyphs, are the only tools they used. I would want to know if pyramids were only constructed for the purpose of being a tomb for their pharaohs.

            Another structure I would want to know about is the great sphinx. I would like to know its true purpose. Is it truly supposed to represent the guardian of the pyramids? Also, I would like to know exactly who’s face is carved on the lions body. Is it King Khafre as theorized by modern day scientists.

            There is I would like to learn about the ancient Egyptians. To have a civilization construct the monuments, and to carve things out of a stone as hard as limestone is amazing. I guess we will never know the truth, without being able to go back in time to see for ourselves. Well, I guess there is always the U.F.O. theory.
