10 Things I Found About Americans

Recently I visited to Udaipur, India due to project work. The work was in collaboration with one of the best social science institute of USA. As a result, it was a very good opportunity for us to interact with Americans. I would like to say that the experience was wonderful.

I found following things about them during my interactions with them:

1. They talked in a very friendly manner.

2. They were always very inquisitive to know about new things.

3. They talk frankly and openly. I initially thought that they might be cautious during talks as they are coming to a foreign country. However, it was not the case and I was very happy that might beliefs were disproved. Since, if they had not talked then I would not have been writing this article.

4. They loved to learn Hindi.

5. The boys had a good sense of humor.

6. They liked Indian Tea.

7. They would eat many fruits.

8. They were not able to mix with us as easily as we mixed with them or with others. They were still a lot more formal than we were. However, by the end of the project, we made few of them more informal then they were.

9. They were very disciplined and systematic.

10. They loved to click photographs.

Abovementioned were some of the things I observed in them. Before meeting them, I was thinking that the project was going to be monotonous and boring. Since, I tend to become very informal with people with whom I work, but in this case, the people with whom I was going to work was from a very different country and it becomes very difficult for me to maintain formality all the time. Hence, it would have become an uphill task to complete project if they would have not been interactive.
